Work in Progress

I have been working on a few pieces over the last few months. I am almost finished both pieces and will update soon. Both were inspired from our family trip to florida last year. The Eastern Diamond Back Rattle Snake, Strangular Fig and Poison Ivy (that has been put in yet) was inspired from my son Trent. When driving to our camp spot he told us to pull over. He said he spotted the eastern diamond back. My wife didnt really believe him. He said, Mom I dont know if it is dead or alive but it is definitively an Eastern Diamond back. He just turned 5 on this trip. Santa brought him a snakes of florida book for Christmas that we studied before we left. It certainly paid off!

Fight or Flight

Fight or Flight is a personal painting from our first family vacation in Florida. We took a motorhome down to the everglades. Unfortunately we only go to spend a few days down there and a week before the BP oil spill. What an amazing place. We are headed down again this spring but flying this time. I can wait to experience this place again.
